Privacy Policy

Last updated October 24, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Nordin collects through getnordin.com and our checkout, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

About this policy

Nordin operates this website and online store, including its content, features and services (the "Services"). Our checkout is provided by Shopify, which lets us take orders and payments.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit this website, sign up for our emails, send us a message or buy from us. By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read it. If it conflicts with our Terms and Conditions, this Privacy Policy controls for personal information.

Personal information we collect

Personal information means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include anonymous or de-identified information. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address.
  • Payment information: payment confirmation and transaction details. Card details are handled securely by Shopify and its payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Order information: the items you view, add to your cart, buy, return or cancel.
  • Communications: what you send us, including your name, email address and message when you use the Contact us form, and your replies to our emails.
  • Email sign-ups: your email address when you enter it in the footer sign-up or the welcome pop-up, and the welcome code you were given.
  • Device and usage information: your IP address, browser, device and network details, and how you move around the Services, collected through server logs, cookies and similar technologies.
  • Account information: if you create a customer account at checkout, the details you use for it, such as your email address and preferences.

Where it comes from

  • Directly from you, for example when you place an order, sign up for our emails or contact us.
  • Automatically through the Services, using cookies, pixels and similar technologies, where you have agreed to them if agreement is required.
  • From service providers that work for us, such as Shopify, payment processors and shipping carriers.
  • From advertising partners, such as Meta, when you interact with our ads.

How we use it

  • Provide and improve the Services: to process payments, fulfil and ship orders, handle returns and refunds, remember your preferences, and understand how the Services are used.
  • Communicate with you: to answer your questions, including messages sent through the Contact us form, and to send order and shipping updates.
  • Marketing and advertising: to send promotional emails if you have agreed to receive them, to give you welcome offers, and to measure and show our ads, including on Facebook and Instagram, based on how you use the Services.
  • Security and fraud prevention: to protect the Services and your payments, and to detect and act on suspicious activity.
  • Legal reasons: to meet our legal obligations, respond to valid legal requests, and enforce our terms and policies.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. We use two kinds.

  • Essential: needed for the website and checkout to work, for security, and to remember choices such as your cookie choice. These are always on.
  • Advertising and measurement: used to measure our ads and show you relevant ads. We use these only if you click Accept on our cookie notice. We use the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta about your visits and actions on our website, such as the pages you view and when you sign up, contact us or go to checkout.

When you first visit, a cookie notice lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, and you can clear cookies in your browser settings. You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

Our Services also keep small notes in your browser, such as whether you have already seen our welcome offer, so we do not show it again and again.

Our web pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when a page loads. Google may receive your IP address.

How we share it

  • Service providers that work on our behalf: Shopify (checkout, payments and order management), our website hosting and email providers (Cloudflare), payment processors, shipping carriers and similar providers for IT, fulfilment and customer support.
  • Advertising partners such as Meta, to measure and show ads, if you accepted advertising cookies. These partners use your information under their own privacy notices.
  • When you ask or agree, for example to ship your order.
  • For business changes and legal reasons: in connection with a merger, sale or similar transaction, to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Nordin, our customers and others.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Shopify and where we host

Our checkout and store are provided by Shopify. Information you submit at checkout is sent to Shopify, which collects and processes it to provide the checkout and to improve its services. We also use certain Shopify features that use data from your interactions with our store and with other merchants. In those cases Shopify is responsible for how it processes your information, including responding to your requests about that use. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can exercise certain rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

This website, and the messages and email sign-ups you submit to it, are hosted with Cloudflare. We may change providers in the future and will keep this policy up to date.

Links to other websites

The Services may link to websites and platforms run by others, such as Shopify, Facebook and Instagram. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices, so please read their policies. Information you post in public places on social media may be visible to others.

Children

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority where they live. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and retention

No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee that information you send us is secure in transit. Please do not send sensitive information, such as card numbers, in a contact message or email.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Email sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up. Order and payment records are kept as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, including under Canadian and Quebec privacy laws, you may have some or all of the rights below. They are not absolute, and in some cases we may decline a request as the law allows.

  • Access: ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
  • Deletion or withdrawing consent: ask us to delete your information or stop using it for a purpose you agreed to, such as marketing.
  • Portability: ask for a copy of your information in a common format.
  • Email preferences: unsubscribe at any time with the link in our emails. We may still send order and account messages.
  • Cookies: change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and you may use an authorized agent if you give us proof of their authority. We will not treat you differently for using your rights, and we will answer within the time the law requires.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only with your consent, which you give by entering your email address next to our sign-up notice or by agreeing at checkout. Every marketing email includes our contact information and an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Transfers outside your province or Canada

Some of our service providers, including Shopify, Cloudflare and Meta, may store or process personal information outside the province or country where you live, including in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from yours. We choose providers that apply security safeguards to the information they handle.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
